APA Awards 2027 - Nomination page

The Parliament proudly presents the second edition of the APA Awards – recognising the work and dedication of Accredited Parliamentary Assistants.

The European Parliament is powered by a dedicated community of professionals whose influence is felt in every speech, briefing note and amendment, yet whose names rarely appear in the headlines.

The Parliament’s APA Awards will, for the second time, honour this essential work. These awards will celebrate the skill, dedication and quiet excellence that define the very best of the APA community – recognising those who go above and beyond in advancing the work of their MEPs and the institution.

Process:

1. Eligibility

• Must be a current APA in the European Parliament
• Selection is based on nominee’s nationality, not the MEP’s they work with.
• Dual EU nationals may choose either nationality - Non-EU nationals may be considered; if over three are nominated, a 28th category for non-EU will be created.

2. Evaluation

All nominations will be reviewed and judged by The Parliament – together with APAs turned MEPs and/or other experts.

The evaluation will be based on answers to these questions (We recommend that you prepare answers to these three questions in advance, then copy and paste them directly into the form.)

• Dedication and effectiveness in parliamentary work.
• Innovation in policy or administration.
• Contributions to the APA community and Parliament.

All winners will be revealed at the awards night.

You have until 11:59 pm CET on Sunday 15th November 2026 to complete and submit all entries ahead of the closing deadline.

Please note:

You can only enter one award category and nominate one person during each submission. You should only nominate once per person per category.  Multiple/duplicate/identical submissions for the same person for the same award will be ignored, as the number of times someone is entered for an award has no effect on their chances of winning that award.
